This camera gives you an excellent tool for cheap money. There a worlds between the older models like EOS 300D, 350D or 400D. I am not satisfied with fastness of mirror but you will need to spend several times more money to buy the 20D, 10D or 1D. So for the price i suggest this camera with a separete lense. The 55mm is good for family pictures but nothing for candid photography.
